How to Use Accent Bushes For Front of House

There are many great accent bushes for use in landscaping, flower beds and around decks. These easy to care for plants will make any yard look spectacular. An easy way to add a little more interest to a front yard is by locating existing plants and incorporating them into your design. You can make a simple change by choosing an existing plant or two and adding accentual garden plants that complement it. Your entire landscaping design can be changed with the addition of a few well placed accent bushes.

Bushes are one of the easiest types of accent you can use to add color and interest to your house. They also happen to be some of the least expensive garden plants you can find. You can easily find quality accent flowering plants in all kinds of shapes, sizes and colors.

Some of the most beautiful bushes are those that grow close to the home. Bushes are an excellent choice for use in border garden plants, along a walkway, or in the center of a front lawn. If you are looking to bring a little color to your yard, there are some brilliant choices to choose from. You can find a wide selection of flowering garden plants including:

One way to ensure that your accent bushes make a strong impact on your landscape is to place them in the right area. The best place to use them is where they will benefit the most from your landscaping efforts. For example, an accent plant in the front yard can be very dramatic if it is placed in just the right spot. Bushes do not do well if they are placed too close to any structures or traffic lanes. Remember, you want the focal point of your design to be the plants that you are choosing for your landscaping.

In fact, you should try and stay away from planting other types of plants at the same time as accent bushes. It is not a good idea to overcrowd the yard with too much foliage at one time. Instead, you should plan on only having one or two plants around the main focal point of your home’s exterior.

Once you have selected the type of plants that you want to use as accent bushes, you need to learn how to care for them properly. This is not a difficult task, but it does take some time and patience. First of all, you need to make sure that you are picking up the plants right after they have sprouted. When picking up an accent plant, make sure that you do not crush or snap the stem. This will cause the plant to become susceptible to disease, especially in the first year after it has been grown in your garden.

If you are going to use other types of flowering plants as your accent bushes for your front yard, such as flowering lavender or sweet pea, you will need to water these properly once a week. You should also consider pruning your plants at this time, so that you can avoid having unwanted scars on your landscape. Also, be sure to use fertilizer at least once a month, even if the flower appears to be thriving. You should make sure to do this before the flower blooms and wait until after the flowers begin to die back before applying fertilizer. This will ensure that your accent flower will be healthy.

As you can see, accent bushes can provide a wonderful touch to your home. As long as you take the proper precautions, such as providing adequate lighting, and providing an attractive space for them to grow, they will add a lot to your house. Even if you intend to only use one or two accent bushes in your front yard, they can still completely change the look of your landscape. Remember to select plants that are suitable for your climate, and have a reasonable chance of growing for a very long time.
